14 Food Outlets In Delhi NCR Everyone Need To Visit At Least Once In Their Lives

Delhi is a hub for clubs, pubs, cafes, roadside stalls, famous food joints and there are more than a thousand such outlets. That I agree seems very confusing, as there’s no chance you can try them all.

So, here we are to help you. We picked up 14 such food outlets that everyone living in Delhi either must have in their bucket list or should have in their bucket list.

There are cafes, bars, clubs, food stalls in this list that you need to visit at least once when you are in Delhi.

Without wasting much time let’s move to the list. Here we go!

1. Hashtag Foods

Hashtag Foods is a casual place to grab your daily snacks at very affordable prices. Hashtag foods have a decent ambiance and is good to hang out with friends. After a tiring day in college, Hashtag foods is the must-go place to relax and eat some tasty food.

They serve a decent variety of Pasta, maggie, shakes, cheesy fries, burgers, etc. These are the variety of food they serve and to make you try all at once, they also have a Platter consisting of all the above listing snacks at once. You might have already guessed the price over 500 bucks, but to correct you can get this platter within INR 200. That is why I said it is best for after college snack.

Moving forward to my picks – I always try party platter costing INR 260, with red sauce pasta as preference. Also, they have a special Pasta lasagna (pronounced as ‘luh-ZAHN-yuh’) which is very creamy and tasty, which is not on the menu anymore but it is served on special demand, and this one is always on priority.

2. Billu’s Hut

Billu’s Hut cannot be judged on the base of ambiance as no sitting place is available, but NSP center square serves as the sitting area and you can order a variety of food for different outlets. Billu’s Hut serves the BEST PASTA in that area at reasonable prices.

They also serve varieties of maggie and other food items as well but it is famous for its pasta only that is the must-try when you visit NSP. Apart from the NSP branch, there are more branches of Billu’s Hut, but I strongly feel the Vibe of NSP is different and attractive.

So my picks are, I would suggest, different varieties of Pasta but my favorite is Punjabi Pasta as I haven’t eaten better than Billu’s hut Punjabi pasta anywhere in the world.

3. Coolfies

Coolfies

‘Coolfies’ as the name suggests, it only deals in kulfis and shakes. Not only shakes, but they also serve the kulfi shakes. I haven’t seen this thing anywhere else in Delhi. This place is unique as its option are very different and something I’m sure no one has tried before.

Talking about ambiance again there is no sitting as it is in NSP center square serves as the sitting area. Talking about price ranges between INR 70-INR 200 depends upon the kind of shake or kulfi you choose.

I will suggest trying Butterscotch kulfi shake as it is very tasty you would love it. I loved it so much that I even rate it the best shake stores in Delhi.

4. Bistro 57

Bistro 57

Another cafe without any sitting in the college campus area. Bistro 57 serves the best variety of coffee at such affordable prices that you would go la la land over that cheap coffee. They have branches in Satya Niketan, GTB Nagar and NSP.

Apart from Coffee they also serve a variety of Snacks but we want the best if all, so Bistro 57’s coffee is a must-try as they serve a regular glass of different varieties in INR 60-80. They serve Ice Mocha, Hazelnut, caramel frappe, cold coffee, Hot coffee, also a variety of Mojitos.

My picks are Ice Mocha if you want to feel actual coffee taste (with no sugar) and Caramel Frappe is you like a little chocolaty taste in Coffee.

5. Guftagu Cafe

Guftagu cafe, this place has an attractive ambiance outdoor cafe with trees and benches in between, some live music also they click your pictures and post it on their FB page. Apart from the beautiful ambiance, they also serve tasty snacks and price is justice to the ambiance provided.

This place in Gurgaon serves a wide variety of Unique food items potato cheese balls, BBQ burgers, and a variety of Mojitos. This is a perfect date cafe for you, one can have a pleasant conversation without a drink.

My picks are cheese balls and a lovey-dovey mojito, also you add a BBQ pizza to full pack your tummy.

6. Housefull Cafe Lounge

Housefull Cafe Lounge is where one heads up in the mood for some smashing, soul-satisfying music, eye-grabbing ambiance, limitless booze, and tasty food!

They have a unique variety of food like they have burgers, pizza, pasta but they have their own unique selling points, they have molten cheeseburgers. It is a lovable place with a variety of food and this cafe is in the top picks of critics. So it is worth a visit at least once. Delivery and takeaway option is also available.

My picks are Volcano Pasta as it is not listed on the menu is a special dish not everyone is aware of. This pasta is topped with a crunchy pizza base and you tear it up and you get pasta as the lava of this Volcano and is very tasty.

7. YETI, The Himalayan Kitchen

Another one from the critic’s list, a cute spot with red-brick interiors offering Nepali and Tibetan fare. This place is good for groups to hang out and for a change, you try different varieties of food.

This place serves a variety of Tibetian, Bhutani snacks also serve a variety of Thupka which is very famous in Nepal and northern mountains of Uttarakhand, as well as Yeti, which serves a variety of Momos as well. Hence, they are saving your trip to Nepal by serving their best picks there.

My picks are dry Veg Thupka, Veg Thupka Gravy, a variety of momos will be a must-try. And Ambiance Yeti provides is very beautiful making it a good pick for a date night.

8. Qds Lajpat Nagar

I have already written a blog mentioning QD’s for its different and unique varieties of Momos. Apart from Momos, QD’s serve tasty Indian fare including tandoori, dumplings. Also, you can have burgers, desserts, and beer as an add on.

This is a must of place for every foodie living in Delhi. It has its branches in Satya Niketan and Hudson Lane as well. It has a chill and Friendly Ambience. Ordering a variety of food will not hurt your pocket much.

My picks are corn n cheese momos, tandoori afghani momos, a variety of fries and noodles. If you are a non-vegetarian butter chicken is one thing you can try as well.

9. Diggin

Diggin, this is not something new you have been to Delhi. This place tops in every list. This cafe provides one of the most beautiful experiences in Delhi, has a leady terrace and red-bricked interior serving best European fare, coffees, and shakes.

I would suggest you visit this place at night time as it is perfect for a night date. Lighting on with leaves and trees everywhere with a European building. It feels like you are in Europe and it is Christmas.

They serve soups, pizza, pasta, salads, Risotto, Calzone, Desserts, Burgers, Pies, mojitos, coffees, Tea, and shakes. So, there is a large variety to pick from. Must try is Italian cuisine, also one can try Nicoise Salad, Passion Fruit Juice, and various type of bakery products like cookies.

10. Al Kauser

Al Kauser serves the best kind of north Indian and Mughlai grilled meats and vegetable dishes. It is also known as the king of kakori kebabs.

Talking about ambiance it is a decent family restaurant, so can’t be rated as a fancy one. And if you are a vegetarian this place is surely not for you they only serve paneer Kathi rolls and veg biryani. All the other items are non-veg.

Must try are mutton Kakori kebab, chicken shahi korma, mutton shahi korma, also a few rolls. And these all are at affordable prices.

11. M Dosa Express

M Dosa Express serving 131 types of dosa. Yes, you heard that right. 131 types of dosa. I used to know only 5-6 before visiting this place but they took it to another level. A total of 131.

Talking about ambiance it is a simple, decent place with color combinations like any other franchise outlet. And only serves dosa with beverages.

Must try are Golmal dosa which is a pizza on a dosa base, Manchurian cheese dosa, Italian dosa, and many more unique varieties of dosa.

12. The Big Chill Cafe

One more red-bricked interior cafe. This is one is very simple and classy. The ambiance is warm you feel the vibes of a perfect date night at this place as well.

Also, they serve a great variety of food in their own unique way of presentation. They serve pizza roles instead of slices, varieties of pizza slices as well, shakes, cheesecakes, variety of pasta, pies, chicken, and many more.

My picks are pizza rolls for sure, baked pasta, pizza slices as well and cheesecakes are very attractive. You can try a few pies as well!

13. Kulcha Junction

As the name suggests it serves only “Kulcha”, different variety of Kulcha. Crispy from outside, stuffed with paneer, aloo, and pyaaz with a lot of butter from inside, stop licking your tongues right now. But you will lick your fingers for sure while eating these tasty stuffed Kulchas.

So, this is a small food outlet with no dine-in the facility you can take your food and eat anywhere you want, people specially visit here in their cars and eat while sitting in their cars. And all these stuffed tasty kulcha at very reasonable prices.

My picks are Amritsari Kulcha with a glass of lassi and chutney as it has a unique taste that will crave you for more. But one kulcha is enough for one person, some people might eat two, but it is very heavy.

14. Jain Chawal Wala

Another one from the road of CP. Jain chawal is one of the most famous chawal stalls in Delhi. They serve a variety of chawal combinations (Rajma chawal, Chole chawal, Kadhi Chawal, Paneer chawal). Yet, Rajma chawal and Kadhi Chawal are the most famous.

As there is no sitting area people sit in their cars or stand and eat outside the shop you have to wait for 15 to 20 minutes for a single plate in the evening time as the place is very crowded. But the taste is worth the wait!

Moving forward to my picks will be Rajma chawal and Kadhi chawal as these are the most famous items and people really love eating these, especially at such a reasonable price. The plate does not look that attractive, but the taste is finger-licking.
